Who we are
Makers Lantern is operated by Beach Bebe LLC ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using Makers Lantern, you agree to these terms. If you use Makers Lantern for a business, you confirm you have the authority to agree on that business's behalf.
The service
Makers Lantern is a record-keeping and costing tool for one-person makers. It helps you track supplies, cost products, record batches, and prepare for events. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use Makers Lantern within your plan. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service.
Payments and subscriptions
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Payment, billing, tax, cancellation, and refund mechanics are governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms (linked below). Subscriptions renew monthly until canceled; you can cancel anytime and keep access until the end of the paid period. Paddle's Buyer Terms
Your account and data
Keep your sign-in credentials confidential; you're responsible for activity under your account. Provide accurate information and keep it up to date. You retain ownership of the records you enter; you grant us a limited license to store and process them solely to provide the service.
Acceptable use
Don't misuse Makers Lantern: no unlawful use, fraud or spam, infringing others' intellectual property, introducing malware, probing or scraping the service, reverse engineering, or reselling access.
Intellectual property
We retain ownership of Makers Lantern itself — the software, documentation, and branding.
Liability
Makers Lantern is provided "as is" without implied warranties to the fullest extent permitted by law. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages (including lost profits or data). Our total liability is capped at the fees you paid in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, death, or personal injury where the law does not allow it.
Suspension and termination
We may suspend or end access for material breach, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated serious violations of these terms. When your access ends, you may ask us for an export of your records within 30 days, after which they may be deleted.
General
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, USA. You may not transfer your account without our consent; we may assign these terms in a merger or acquisition. We are not responsible for delays caused by events beyond our reasonable control.
