Makers Lantern is operated by Beach Bebe LLC, which is the data controller for the personal data described here.

What we collect

• Account details: your email address, password (stored only as a secure hash), and display name.
• Business records you enter: business name, supplies, purchases, products, recipes, batches, and event records.
• Usage and technical data: device and browser type, IP address, and basic telemetry used to keep the service secure and working.
• Support messages you send us.

Why we use it

To create and secure your account, provide the service, prevent fraud, improve the product, and respond to support requests. Our legal bases are performing our contract with you, our legitimate interests in running a secure service, and legal obligations. Payment data is collected and processed by Paddle (our Merchant of Record), not by us.

Who we share it with

• Service providers that host and operate Makers Lantern (cloud hosting and database).
• Paddle, our Merchant of Record, for selling subscriptions, payments, tax compliance, and invoicing.
• Professional advisers (legal, accounting) where needed.
• Authorities where the law requires it.

Retention, security, and your rights

We keep your data while your account is active and delete or anonymise it when it is no longer needed. We use appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encryption and access controls. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, or to object to or restrict certain uses — contact us to exercise them.

Cookies

We use only essential cookies and local storage needed to keep you signed in and run the app. We do not use advertising or marketing cookies.
